Exotic, spicy and earthy with a heavy body

Every coffee takes on the character of the region in which it is grown, and the tropical island of Sumatra grows some of the best coffee in the world. Sumatra has always held a special place in the world of coffee, and roastmasters use it often to add depth and complexity to their blends. In its pure form Sumatra is a coffee of powerful flavor, heavy body, and a spicy finish unlike that of any other. When expertly roasted and prepared, it can satisfy the most demanding connoisseurs. If you enjoy the flavor of exotic spices or the complexity of a great wine, you will appreciate the coffee of Sumatra.

Our Sumatra is sourced from the family run Jagong Mill and surrounding farms, owned by Irham Junus, his son Andi and daughter Ina, located in the Takengon and Atu Lintang coffee region of Aceh province. By only using ripe red fruit, Irham and his family are pioneering something truly unique in Sumatra. As they control the whole process from tree to mill to export, they are able to avoid the long and convoluted supply lines that can compromise Sumatran quality.
